Course Objectives The aim of this course is to teach to students the statistical analysis methods to be used in the research and to use the results of the researches in practice and to conduct research on the ethical principles
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • At the end of this course students; 1. will be able to understand the importance of research in nursing. 2. will be able to explain quantitative and qualitative research designs. 3. will be able to explain the steps of conducting research 4. will be able to critically evaluate the research article in line with basic principles 5. will be able to describe ethical principles 6. will be able to decide on the basic statistical analysis methods to be used in a research. 7. will be able to do basic statistical analysis methods in SPSS program. will be able to describe the methods of validity and reliability to be used in measurement tool.
Course Description The importance of the research, scientific method and research, research ethics, steps of the process of quantitative and qualitative research, research designs, basic statistical analysis methods to be used in a research, ability of basic statistical analysis methods in SPSS program, developing valid and reliable survey scales, research use in nursing and evidence-based nursing.
